Dual Battery Systems

A dual battery system is a vehicle battery system that uses one battery as a starter battery and a secondary battery as a power source for auxiliary gear and accessories. Moreover, each battery is an isolated system. So, when your vehicle is running, the starter battery works with the alternator and vehicle electronics. The secondary battery powers all the other accessories when the motor is switched off. These might include additional lighting, fridges, and invertors. Isolators and battery management systems are installed to manage both batteries’ power distribution and correct charging.
